shard: a thought on Blue Bloods

‘ Blue Bloods’ is police procedural features the Reagans, a family in New York City with a history in law enforcement. Typically, Frank (Tom Selleck), Henry (Len Cariou), Jamie (Will Estes), Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), and Erin (Bridget Moynahan) are the show’s main characters all native NYorkers; all in on the ‘city.’ One generation replacing another; no one leaves, Reagan’s are always building, … with law and order.

Recently, after living almost all my life in NYC, ( except for 4 years overseas ) Priscilla and I moved to Dunedin Florida. 

And I thought … am I deserting the city I loved so?

Then I thought of the Reagans: no family in NYC has ever builder with children succeeding parents in places of real authority: no Beames or Kochrs; no Lindsays or .., Reagans….

No 

Real NYorkers come for a time; and past on…changed by the City. 

And if fortunate they may also be change agents in our City.
