Hearing the voice of recovery reminds us that the practice of compassionate understanding and loving-kindness sets the stage for us to practice detachment from the bitter past, forgive ourselves, and those who hurt us, and move on to love and care for our recovering soul and spirit by doing the next right thing. Pass-It-On: The We Program gives me a fellowship, a sponsor, and Twelve Steps and Traditions that allow me to heal my broken spirit. Longtimers reminds us, “Blooming where we are planted begins with acts of self-love, self-care, self-forgiveness and living-amendment.” We are blessed for being given the spiritual gifts of, “Detachment, Forgiveness And Love.” As a result, we are no longer, “A Glum Lot.”
