23, a step 10 prayer

‘God remove the Selfishness, dishonesty, resentment and fear that has cropped up in my life right now. Help me to discuss this with someone immediately and make amends quickly if I have harmed anyone. Help me to cease fight anything and anyone. Show me where I may be helpful to someone else.’

‘help’ is my prayer here, now

27, step 10

from https://www.hazeldenbettyford.org/articles/step-10

‘The Twelve Step program of recovery from alcoholism and other addictions rests on a notion of spirituality that is not about having the “right” beliefs. Instead, it is about adopting daily practices that help people stay clean and sober.

These daily practices are the subject of Step 10 of the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous: “Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.”’

it’s personal. personal.

Daily taken; promptly admitted. This inventory is my own personal living amend.

Psalm 130 MSG is such an inventory,,

A Pilgrim Song

130 1-2 Help, God—the bottom has fallen out of my life!
Master, hear my cry for help!
Listen hard! Open your ears!
Listen to my cries for mercy.

3-4 If you, God, kept records on wrongdoings,
    who would stand a chance?
As it turns out, forgiveness is your habit,
    and that’s why you’re worshiped.

5-6 I pray to God—my life a prayer—
and wait for what he’ll say and do.
My life’s on the line before God, my Lord,
    waiting and watching till morning,
    waiting and watching till morning.

7-8 O Israel, wait and watch for God—
with God’s arrival comes love,
with God’s arrival comes generous redemption.
No doubt about it—he’ll redeem Israel,
buy back Israel from captivity to sin.

My inventory is, can be seen in verse 5

second, in these morning texts I would like to send you our written thoughts from our daily morning devotion on the Psalms

Today is psalm 130 MSG

‘ -my life a prayer- ‘ verse 5
Is our life ‘cries’ or a prayer?

if a prayer, there is ‘generous redemption’ – the NIV says, forgiveness, mercy, and ‘abundant’ redemption

Why is the redeeming so ‘abundant’ ? …because our inner most cries are so overpowering. So, my prompt and daily inventory is my prayer to Him, my higher power. And he gives me what I, we need. What is our need?

We need generous redemption – all ways ; always. And my inventory is prayer filled cry, a life in amends.
